Columbia Valley Vineyards

Washington’s Columbia Valley is a diverse growing region that produces a wide range of fruit expression allowing winemakers to craft complex, flavorful wines through blending. Its unique terroir yields wines often described as the perfect blend of New World winemaking and Old World elegance and structure. Protected from Seattle’s well-known marine climate by the Cascade Mountains, rainfall in the Columbia Valley is limited to 6 – 8 inches annually. Summer temperatures average in the mid-80°s, perfect for growing classic vinifera grapes. Fall days are warm, building sugar and flavor as the grapes finish ripening; cool autumn evenings protect the grapes’ natural acidity.

JM Cellars sources fruit from eight of the states most notable vineyards including Ciel du Cheval, Klipsun, Conner Lee, Red Mountain and Stillwater Creek Vineyards.
