February 2025 Wine Club Release

Happy New Year JM Wine Club members!

2024 was a great year for JM Cellars. The wine releases were a blast, our team is the best we have ever had (52 wonderful people), and our business is solid going into 2025. You are the reason JM is successful. Whether you have been with us for decades or months, we are grateful for your continued support.

One of the highlights of 2024 was getting a call from Marshall Edwards, Vineyard Manager for Shaw Vineyards, asking us to partner for the “Washington Wine Collaboration Series”. We are honored to be a part of this program alongside other fantastic growers and wineries. Here is the program description from the Washington Wine Institute:

Each year a committee comprised of Board and industry members selects an outstanding grower – one who is highly regarded not only for growing remarkable fruit but for their commitment and service to our industry. The grower selects a uniquely spectacular block from which enough fruit will be donated to craft just one barrel of wine. The grower works with a stellar vintner-partner of their choosing to craft just 25 cases of an exclusive, premium wine. The result of their collaboration is not only an exceptional wine but also extraordinary generosity—the gift of their combined passion and rigor for the good of our industry.

We are thrilled to be chosen and are making a 2024 Grenache, fermented and aged in our clay amphora, from the spectacular Shaw Ridge Vineyards at the top of Red Mountain. The wine will be in bottle late summer and released as Collaboration #8 in the fall of 2025.

We will keep everybody in the club informed as we get closer to releasing this special wine later this year.

Along with our exciting collaboration project, we’d love to partner with you too in shaping the events and experiences that we offer in 2025. Share your ideas with us and let us know what you’d like to see more of this year.

I am excited for you to taste our new releases. I know I say this every time we release new wines, but these are some of the best wines we have ever made. I always say, If you are not getting better, why would you do this? We look forward to celebrating with you at this next release party.

Thanks,
John
